NBC's TODAY Show is the news program that informs, entertains, inspires and sets the agenda each morning for viewers across America. If you’re unfamiliar, the morning show is a staple as television’s longest running daytime series. TODAY brings you the latest headlines and expert tips on parenting, food, home, style, and health and wellness. The show also loves introducing its millions of viewers to the greatest trends and the “must haves” in their respected opinions.
During the summer of 2017, Today featured one of our very own custom inflatables - our pink seashell that we designed and produced for the luxury brand, Black Box Wines. Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb could not get over the adorable-ness of this inflatable. “Oh em gee” - their words, not ours. But, we agree. The process of designing this Today-show-worthy inflatable was one of the most fun we’ve had yet. The company was about to launch one of their new wines - a delicious summer rosé - and they wanted to stray from the boring, every day promotional items that everyone has seen or used before.
The brand wanted to distance and differentiate themselves from the large competition of the alcohol industry by creating truly a unique promotional and marketing product - a custom pool float. So, when they reached out, we were excited to design this float for them. To start, we knew incorporating a drink holder in the float was a given, of course. Communication with our clients is the most important to us, and vital in the beginning stages of designing a company’s branded custom inflatable. We bounced around some ideas: maybe a floating wine cooler, or the traditional donut shaped inflatable branded with their logo with cup holders, or maybe even a branded inflatable swan.
But, then, we decided to think outside the box. Why stick to the norm of inflatables and copy something we’ve already seen done before? Why not try something totally unique, offer something completely new like the new wine they were offering to their customers? Anything is really possible with Custom Pool Floats. Seriously - you dream it, we make it. That’s when we came up with the beautiful rosé colored seashell pool floatie.
From conception, to art and design, to production, the result was a happy customer. Our client had hundreds of gorgeous, large, high-quality and durable inflatables to distribute for new launch of their brand new rosé. And, so, we can’t blame Kathie Lee Gifford and the rest of the family at NBC for wanting to show off the perfect summer accessory. Check out the video below to relive the hosts' epic reactions!
